The construction of Al-Ikhlas Mosque PIK has officially entered its final stage after holding a prayer ceremony marking the completion of the roof structure and the start of finishing work on 14 November 2025. The mosque, which began construction at its groundbreaking on 7 March 2025, has a total construction cost of approximately Rp 45 billion and is targeted for completion in early 2026. The name Al-Ikhlas was given by the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. K.H. Nasaruddin Umar, MA, as a symbol of sincerity and blessing.
The installation of the floor tiles by Dr. Ir. H. Restu Mahesa, M.M., Estate Management Director of Agung Sedayu Group (ASG), and Representative of the Al-Ikhlas PIK Mosque Committee, together with Ridwan Soemadibrata, Project Director of ASG, marked the commencement of the finishing phase for the mosque, which has a total construction cost of approximately Rp 45 billion. The event concluded with a communal prayer led by Ustadz Muhammad Nurdin NH, who also symbolically received the donation for orphans.
Al-Ikhlas Mosque stands on a site of approximately 2,435 m², featuring a main building area of about 1,248 m² and a capacity of around 600 worshippers. Adopting the style of Islamic Classical Architecture, the mosque showcases elegant pillars, a grand dome, two towering minarets, and arabesque ornaments that became the hallmark features of Islamic architectural beauty.
In his remarks, Restu Mahesa conveyed that Masjid Al-Ikhlas stands within the Riverwalk Island area, “Insya Allah this mosque will become a center of worship, a center of knowledge, and a place where the community finds peace. This development is not merely a physical project, but a sacred duty. Our hope is that Masjid Al-Ikhlas becomes a source of blessing and a reflection of the values of tolerance, tawhid, and piety for Muslims wherever they are.” he added.
The Riverwalk Island PIK area itself stands as a beautiful reflection of interfaith harmony. Beside the mosque, Si Mian Fo has also been established as a place of worship for Buddhist devotees, and other houses of worship will stand side by side in the future, realizing the spirit of tolerance, unity, and peace within Indonesia’s diverse society.
